Technical Assistance for the Civil Society Dialogue between EU and Turkey-IV

Objective:

The service contract’s overall objective was to ensure the high level of understanding between all sectors of civil society in Turkey and in the EU member states, including the implications of Turkey’s full membership to the EU. The purpose of this project is to provide technical assistance to the MEU for the implementation of the “Grant Schemes to Strengthen the Civil Society Dialogue in the Fields of EU Acquis” in an effective and timely manner particularly with a focus on progress, enhancing and promoting project outputs and the project management and to improve the project management capacities of the Grant Beneficiaries.

 

The project was specifically aimed at assisting the MEU in the implementation of the 9 grant schemes (“Environment”, “Energy”, “Consumer and Health Protection”, “Justice, Freedom and Security”, “Right of Establishment and Freedom to Provide Services”, “Regional Policy and Coordination of Structural Instruments”, “Enterprise and Industrial Policy”, “Agriculture and Fisheries” and “Education”).

Activities:

  • Capacity development for Grant Beneficiaries in Project Management and Implementation, Reporting and Respecting EU Procurement and Visibility Rules
  • Developing and Strengthening the Expertise and Know-How within the MEU on Grant Implementation, Monitoring and Reporting
  • Increasing the Awareness and Publicity of the Project and Civil Society Dialogue within Turkey and EU
