SUPPORT PROGRAM FOR CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANIZATIONS II (PAOSC II)

Objective:

The overall objective of the Civil Society Organizations Support Program II (CSOP II) is to improve the development programs and policies of the government and technical and financial partners (TFPs) so that they better respond to the demands of the population, particularly the most vulnerable groups.

 

The specific objective of the program, of which this service contract is a part, is to strengthen the capacities of Malian civil society organizations (CSOs) to better participate in democratic, state reform and decentralization processes and to better play their roles as actors of development and social change.

The results achieved are as follows: 

  • Result 1: CSO capacity for policy dialogue, policy analysis, research, advocacy and citizen oversight, and internal governance is strengthened in a sustainable manner;
  • Result 2: Malian CSOs conduct quality policy dialogue, policy analysis, studies, advocacy and citizen monitoring in their areas of work;

Result 3: Consultation on intra and inter-CSO development issues is efficient with a view to better information sharing, exchange of experiences and promotion/coordination of NSA initiatives.

Activities:

Support for institutional development and capacity building of CSOs, including management and monitoring and evaluation of CSO funded projects.
