SETTING UP AND RUNNING AN ANALYSIS, MONITORING AND LEARNING PLATFORM IN THE SAHEL

Objective:

The overall objective of this project is to establish an operational platform for the production and dissemination of knowledge to inform strategic and operational decisions of development actors and the piloting of their interventions in fragile or crisis areas in the Sahel. The platform focuses on priority intervention areas: (i) governance and inclusive local development; (ii) socio-economic aspects and political integration of marginalized groups; (iii) population security and promotion of human rights; (iv) mediation and conflict management.

Activities:

Support for the implementation of the project, its management and coordination

• Launch and follow-up of multi-country and multi-stakeholder missions/studies in i) conflict prevention and management, ii) population security and promotion of human rights iii) inclusive development and integration of marginalized groups at the regional level, in all Sahelian countries. Support to the design of development programs in crisis prevention and response, integrating conflict sensitivity and the results of capitalization of operational experience; Design of case studies, cross-case analysis. Technical, administrative and financial management of the project.

Interaction with the research community:

Mobilization of researchers, NGOs, and university laboratories in the framework of studies conducted on: Education in emergency situations in Sahelian countries, Ambulatory Public Services, etc.
