ASSISTANCE TO THE MINISTRY OF JUSTICE IN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE PROJECT TO SUPPORT JUSTICE IN MADAGASCAR

Objective:

The overall objective of the program is to contribute to the modernization of the Malagasy judicial system and to improve the public service of justice for citizens through the institutional and operational strengthening of the Ministry of Justice’s support to the target courts and penal institutions. The main objective of mobilizing technical assistance for the program is to support the Ministry of Justice in its role as “Project Manager. Technical assistance has a key role in building the capacity of the Ministry of Justice to play its role in key projects/programs.

Activities:

• Support for the steering and monitoring of the program to ensure the implementation and accountability of the Project;
• Facilitate and support the gradual increase in the skills of project stakeholders (DOJ staff) in three priority areas: (i) Project management, monitoring and evaluation; (ii) Financial resource mobilization and management, including procurement; (iii) Internal and external communication;
